The Point Leo Road Vineyard was established in the spring of 1996, and is family owned and operated. Located on the southern slopes of the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, it overlooks Westernport Bay to Seal Rocks and The Nobbies, which make up the southern- most tip of Phillip Island.
The vineyard is a true cool climate site with maritime influences from both Westernport and Port Phillip Bays.
Point Leo Road Vineyard was originally developed as a pinot noir and chardonnay block, varieties that the Mornington Peninsula grows very well, but over the years other varieties have been planted to add diversity to what became an interesting range of premium wines.
After a bumper crop of chardonnay and pinot noir in 2004, it was decided to use some of the excellent fruit to make wine under our own label. Since then sparkling Pinot Noir/Chardonnay, a Blanc de Noir made from pinot noir, Pinot Noir Rose, Lagrein and the ever- popular Pinot Grigio have been added.
